Mission
Our mission at Cowes Baptist Church has always been to share the love of Christ with others, at home and abroad. This church has been “mission minded” for many years, and we as a fellowship have, over the years, been privileged to both send and support people in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America.
We currently support three projects overseas and two on the Island.

Andrew and
Dira, together with their two children, are church planting and trying to help
girls who have been or are in danger of being, trafficked. They try to minister
to the girls’ spiritual, mental and physical needs, for example helping them
with education and finding employment and giving them a place to stay.
Genesis serving with BMS in Uganda
Genesis is a trained agriculturalist. Working through local church networks, Genesis now trains pastors, farmers, and community groups in sustainable methods of growing crops and raising livestock. With higher household incomes and better standards of living, children in previously isolated communities can attend school. Genesis also seeks to encourage those he teaches in their faith.
Benon serving with BMS in Uganda
Benon serves as Justice Livelihoods Health (JLH) Executive Director. JLH have recently started training church leaders in the 'church and community mobilisation process' (CCMP). CCMP uses Bible studies to help churches think through mission in a more holistic way, encouraging them to reach out to their local communities to address issues and find solutions, including gender-based violence, access to clean water and education of girls.
Ruth and Benja serving in Chile.
Ruth and Benja are involved in church planting and evangelism. Benja is now an ordained Anglican minister leading a church plant, and Ruth has a ministry to pastors’ wives, particularly in rural areas where access to education and training is limited.
Closer to home we also support Youth For Christ on the Island and Frontline, a debt advice charity.
